Chapter 4, Mishna 1

If only one act of blood application is performed instead of four, is the offering still valid?
Do the two major schools disagree about how many placements of blood are required for a sin-offering versus other types of sacrifices?
If only one placement was done, does the offering still achieve atonement for the person who brought it?
When someone performs the sacrifice with an improper intention β€” for example, thinking to eat it later than allowed β€” does that make it invalid or forbidden?
Are the later placements of blood as important as the first one, or are they somewhat secondary?
Why is this particular dispute not listed among the major disputes between the two schools in the tractate that enumerates them?
If the additional placements weren’t done at the proper time or place, is the sacrifice still valid?
If the blood is applied to the wrong part of the altar (for example, the base rather than the corners), what happens to the offering’s status?
Do garments of the priest that become stained with sacrificial blood need a special kind of washing, and how does that factor into the validity of the offering?
If the owner of the sacrifice dies before all the placements are completed, does that affect the offering’s status?
If an animal becomes disqualified part-way through the process (e.g., a blemish appears after some placements), how do we treat the earlier placements of blood?
Can the placements of blood be done at night or outside the usual sanctuary enclosure, and if so, what is their halachic status?
If the priest had in mind from the beginning to perform a placement outside the proper time or place, does that render the offering invalid from the start?
