Finishing Chapter 7 of Tractate Shabbos. Minimum measure of various animal foods for which one becomes liable to bring a sin offering if he carried them out unwittingly on Shabbos. Examples: enough straw to fill a cow’s mouth, enough grain to fill a lamb’s mouth. Rabbi Yochanan and Reish Lakish argue over a minimum measure and the senior rabbi, Yochanan, sleeps on it and changes his mind. The story takes on two diffferent versions as it travels from Israel to Babylonia. Minimum for human foos is simpler: a dried fig-bulk.
