Chapter 3, Mishna 10, Chapter 4, Mishna 1
Rabba asked Rav Huna, Rav Yehuda and Rava: do we complete a fast that falls on a Friday, or do we end it early so we don’t enter Shabbos in a state of affliction? Rabban Gamliel held we end it early, and the law followed him for a time, but eventually it reverted to the opinion of Rabbis Yehoshua and Yosei, that we complete the fast. What happens if someone is forcibly removed from their Shabbos boundary? What kind of forces are we talking about? What is an evil spirit? What should we do when we see someone enmeshed in a life of sin? What does it mean when we are experiencing terrible difficulties like chronic, intense pain or extreme poverty, or as some say, an evil spouse? Why do we have a holy obligation to care for our health? What do we do if we are forced out of our Shabbos boundary, and therefore confined to our four cubits, and then we have to go to the bathroom?
