Ruvy and Shimmy go to the rabbi to settle a heated dispute.
Ruvy says, “Rabbi, tell Shimmy that black is a color.” And Shimmy says, “Black is not a color! It’s an amalgamation of all the colors.β
The rabbi says, “Well if you buy a box of crayons, there’s always a black crayon in there, so I would have to say that black is a color.β
“See, Shimmy? Now rabbi, tell Shimmy that white is a color.” Shimmy says, “Now I know you’re wrong because white is the absence of color!β
The rabbi says, “Well, if you ask a young lady what color dress she’d like to wear on her wedding day, most of them are gonna say white. So I’d have to say that white is a color.β
“You see, Shimmy? I told you, I sold you a color TV!”
