PURIM 2026 IS BIBLICAL

Today, March 4th 2026, Sal is in Jerusalem. Before the war erupted, Sal came to Israel for the Israeli Premiere of his film, Guns & Moses. The war with Iran began, flights were canceled, and now it’s Purim, often in shelters with bombs in the sky.
This is not a book on the shelf. This is the whole Megillah, the book of Esther in real time with sirens.
2,400 years ago in ancient Persia, a ruler empowered a man named Haman, and Haman issued a decree to annihilate every Jew, young and old, men, women and children in a single day. It was official state policy, a superpower bent to our extermination.
Ancient Persia declared that the Jewish future would end, and the murderous Islamist regime that colonized modern Persia declared the same.
The names changed, the pattern does not.
In the biblical book of Esther, God’s name never appears, not once. And yet every twist of the story reveals a hidden hand guiding events. No accidents, only providence.
Haman rises, Khameini rises. Haman builds the gallows for Mordecai. Khameini surrounds Israel with Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis. He aims his ballistic missiles, he enriches his uranium. And then, quietly, everything begins to turn.
The first one to go down is the architect of destruction, and the Purim pattern unfolds. For decades, Iran’s regime has openly pledged to wipe Israel off the map.
They armed their proxies, encircled Israel, funded terror, and they celebrated the murders and rapes of October 7th. It looked coordinated, it looked overwhelming, and then it all began to unravel, the ring of fire consuming itself.
All the Hamas leaders, gone.
All the Hezbollah leaders and their beeping fighters, gone.
And now Khameini and his next 10 successors, gone.
History is the greatest teacher. This who rise to destroy the Jews eventually fall before us and those who love us.
Babylon fell, Rome fell, the Nazis fell, the Soviets fell. Haman, Khameini, Sinwar, Soleimani, Hitler, Stalin, they are nothing but a parable. Those who bless us are blessed, those who curse us end up in the trashcan of history.
Evil is loud, providence is quiet, but in the end providence prevails. God’s covenant outlives every evil empire.
Today in Israel, during sirens and shelters, we read Esther, and remember something simple and profound. Haman is gone, the Jewish people live on. This is not an accident, this is biblical.
